Celebrating ONLY HUMAN - Harmony Through the Hits & Hard Times
The band’s first memoir released November 3rd, 2026
Two exclusive live evenings in Melbourne & Sydney
November 2nd & 4th, 2026
For more than three decades, Human Nature have soundtracked Australian lives - in our cars, at our weddings, on our biggest national stages, and on the iconic Las Vegas strip a long way from home.
Behind every show, every hit record and every standing ovation is a story they’ve never fully told. Now - for the first and only time - Andrew Tierney, Mike Tierney, Toby Allen and Phil Burton are pulling up four chairs, opening a notebook each, and telling their story.
Only Human: Harmony Through the Hits & Hard Times is the band’s debut memoir and to mark the release, Human Nature are presenting two exclusive live evenings with music front & centre- An Audience with Human Nature- at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Monday 2 November, and at the Enmore Theatre in their hometown of Sydney on Wednesday 4 November.
TICKETS ON SALE FROM 9AM, WEDNESDAY 17 JUNE VIA https://humannaturelive.com/
The book tells the part of the story they’ve never quite shared before. For the first time, and written in their own voices, Only Human is an honest reflection on friendship, ambition, family, success and survival – and what it really means to spend more than thirty years growing up together.
It begins in suburban Western Sydney, where four teenagers harmonised in the music room of an agricultural high school music room at a time when being in a vocal group wasn’t anyone’s idea of cool, landing a record deal from an a cappella audition, and building a career that would take them from school halls to stadiums, television studios to the entertainment capital of the world. Along the way, Human Nature enjoyed extraordinary success – including 27 platinum awards, 13 studio albums, four ARIA #1 albums, performances at the Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony before more than a billion viewers worldwide, tours alongside artists like Michael Jackson and Celine Dion, more than 25 Australian tours, performances in over 29 countries, induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame, and more than 2,600 headline shows in Las Vegas - one of the city’s longest-running residencies, and one still running today.
That’s the highlight reel.
Only Human is everything in between. The moments behind the curtain. What happens when four young Australians sign the dotted line before they’ve properly grown up. What the road costs. The friendships that survive it. The partners and families who quietly carry it too. The constant reinvention required to survive an industry that never quite knew where to place them – and the freedom that ultimately came from refusing to become anything other than themselves.
Over thirty years, trends have come and gone, but Human Nature endured by doing something increasingly rare; staying human. Four mates from Sydney who somehow became part of people’s lives across generations. The industry never quite found a box for them - and that turned out to be the point. It’s also why the audience that’s grown up with them is everyone: men and women, parents and kids, original fans and the ones who only just found them.
Honest, often funny, reflective and occasionally difficult - Only Human is told in four distinct voices by four men who learned long ago that the harmony only works because of who’s standing next to you.
On stage, An Audience with Human Nature brings the memoir to life with the band behind them and the music right where it’s always been: front and centre. These two special shows will bring the audience into the stories behind the songs that have accompanied generations of Australians and become part of their personal soundtrack.
Audiences can expect the songs that defined every era of the journey - the originals that launched the band to the top of the charts as Australia’s #1 boyband including Tellin’ Everybody, Wishes, He Don’t Love You and Don’t Cry; the Motown classics that opened the next chapter and launched a legendary Vegas run including Uptight, Get Ready, My Girl and Dancing In The Street; fan favourites from the Jukebox years including Runaround Sue and Gimme Some Lovin’; more recent originals like Broken Humans; Christmas favourites that became part of Australian family traditions; and their iconic collaboration with national treasure John Farnham, Every Time You Cry.
All of it woven together with untold stories, unseen archive footage, and the kind of unguarded conversation audiences rarely get to experience in a traditional concert setting. Warm, funny, deeply personal and driven by live music throughout, the evening promises the feeling of being invited into the room with the band rather than simply watching from a distance.
It’s a celebration of the songs, the stories and the journey behind one of Australia’s most enduring groups.
Limited VIP packages will be available for each show. Andrew, Mike, Phil & Toby will join fans for a pre-show VIP party with a twist!! Guests will hear two songs not featured in the live show as well as a 15-minute story telling session that will feature exclusive behind the scenes footage & sneak peaks into their debut memoir. The guys will also take time to answer questions around the book, their lives and how harmony has always been their glue of mateship. VIP guests will have a photo opportunity with the group and take home a unique VIP souvenir.
From schoolboys to Vegas stages and a touring discipline that connects fans around the world & a country that never quite lets them stray too far from home; this is the soundtrack - and the untold story – of Human Nature.
For two special nights, the music and the story finally come together.
The hits. The harmonies. The friendships. The moments audiences never saw.
